How We Can Help
We support people from 12+ who are recovering from or currently experiencing violence or abuse, have experienced childhood trauma, struggle with anxiety and/or depression, are transitioning or have a family member who is transitioning, need anger management tools, help processing grief, or who need support exploring their sense of self.
What To Expect?A Loving Space To Share Confidentially
Counselling is a collaboration. We aren’t here to tell you what to do, or judge your choices. Instead we work with you to help you achieve change where you feel change is needed. You can go as deep into your story as you feel or keep focused on problem solving day-to-day stressors. While we will make suggestions and occasionally call out some contradictions (with love of course). Ultimately, you are in the driver’s seat.
We provide in-person (Fernie Only), virtual & phone sessions. We respect and share our deepest gratitude to the Ktunaxa peoples whose homelands we are honoured to live and work.
If you would like to connect with a counsellor we are available:
- Mon 10 AM – 8 PM
- Tuesday 10 AM – 12 PM
- Wednesday 10 AM – 8 PM
- Saturday: 10 AM – 3PM

Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #20791), Canadian Certified Counsellor ( C.C.C.)
Life can be very challenging at times and ensuring you have the support you need to make it through the ups and downs is important. I am passionate about building connections with, and providing support to, individuals and families who have experienced complex trauma, relationship challenges, self-esteem challenges, gender transitions, and grief. I take a collaborative and integrated approach to help clients find healing and symptom reduction.
In addition to my private practice you can find me at the Fernie Women’s Resource Centre providing free counselling services 2 days a week. Prior to opening Heartwise Counselling I completed my Masters of Counselling Psychology and was practicing in Calgary at the Trellis Society.
